Larvikite is a close cousin of Labradorite and is often called “Black Labradorite,” “Black Moonstone,” or “Norwegian Moonstone.” But Larvikite is neither. It is actually a granite that also has a similar “labradorescent” effect in the light. It is mined in Norway and is sold under the Trade Name “Blue Pearl Granite.”

Larvikite is believed to have a calming and stabilizing effect on the mind and emotions, aiding in reducing stress, anxiety, and negative thought patterns.
